A Bit About The Role

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, we are looking for an experienced Senior Director of Marketing to direct and oversee our Marketing department. You will design, implement and monitor effective marketing strategies that align with our business goals by effectively managing the following:

 

  • Marketing Leadership and Strategy
    • Functional leadership and global cross-functional collaboration
    • Go-to-market strategy development
  • Marketing Organization, Talent and Third-Party Management
    • Source, develop, and manage team
    • Organizational design amidst market transformation and changes
  • Marketing Operations
    • P&L management of ~ $4m annual budget
    • Operational execution and excellence
  • Brand Management
    • Brand strategy and architecture
    • Brand governance
  • Marketing Channels and Content
    • Trade show management and logistics (two large shows, twenty plus smaller shows)
    • PR and advertising strategy
    • Digital and social media management
    • Field and product marketing
  • Customer Acquisition and Growth
    • Product marketing messaging
    • Lead generation campaign management
    • Marketing spend attribution
  • Marketing Technology
    • Martech strategy and vendor selection/management
    • Emerging marketing technologies
  • Marketing Data and Analytics
    • Customer and marketing analytics and KPI management

 

Our ideal candidate has a solid Marketing background and work experience managing a team as well as a variety of promotional projects end-to-end, including paid advertising campaigns and digital marketing techniques. Your main goal will be to ensure that the Marketing department’s activities contribute to our company’s long-term success.

 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Effective management, mentoring, and developing the marketing team
  • Develop and execute a Marketing strategy and roadmap
  • Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness
  • Set current and long-term goals for internal teams
  • Accountability for the Marketing functional budget
  • Build relationships with stakeholders through creative PR strategies
  • Monitor all marketing campaigns and improve them when necessary
  • Prioritize marketing projects and allocate resources accordingly
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing metrics for executive leadership
  • Provide guidance and ideas to organize effective marketing events
  • Develop positioning and messaging, for the company and product lines including development of use cases, buyer/user personae, customer lifecycle messaging, differentiated value propositions, field communications and development of sales enablement materials
  • Work with the product teams to identify appropriate packaging and campaign strategies that will optimize both revenue and customer buying behavior
  • Work closely with product line management, global sales and services teams to develop and execute launch plans for product enhancements and new products, focused on sales and account management enablement
  • Be an expert on our buyers, how they buy, and their buying criteria; create personas and understand audience segmentation; be an expert on our competition and develop plans on how to beat them
  • Ensure product narratives are brought to life through integrated content marketing, SEO and digital customer acquisition campaigns build drive pipeline and support revenue goals

About You

  • Proven work experience as a marketing team leader and manager
  • Ability to travel globally up to 25% of time, varies by events and locations
  • Prior P&L experience and demonstrable ability to execute successful marketing campaigns
  • Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques
  • Strong leadership, communications, analytical and project management skills
  • Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions
  • Experience with working and interfacing with C-level executives and customer contacts
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, web analytics and Google Adwords
  • Experience with Asana, Eloqua, Microsoft Teams / Power BI, Salesforce, and Oracle software tools preferred
