    Specific duties include but are not limited to

    • Install, configure, and maintain IT systems and tools (NAS, DHCP, DNS, etc.) in collaboration with our IT teams. Work on a hybrid cloud environment (public and private cloud) and identify, configure, analyze, and design traffic flows and various controls and appliances as required;
    • Configure and maintain both IP and Baseband networks to allow for the seamless flow of control, multicast/unicast, SDI data, and storage across these networks;
    • Design, configure, and maintain a high-performance/high-availability virtualized environment for large-scale system validation;
    • Lead the development and execution of the System Integration Test plan containing exploratory test cases for software, hardware, and mechanical elements.
    • Liaise with R&D and PLM teams to identify system testing requirements and collaborate with the rest of the QA team to execute system level verification;
    • Configure and deploy various tools, systems, and appliances as required for CI/CD (i.e. build systems, automation framework, version/source control, device simulators, etc.);
    • Collaborate with R&D SMEs (Architecture, DEV, and QA) on the design and implementation of solutions to support the reliable delivery/deployment of products and services required for continuous integration/delivery;
    • Define, design, and implement security policies as it relates to product validation and deployment;
    • Provide support and consulting for incidents as well as root cause analysis where required;
    • Provide technical leadership, coaching, mentoring and support to members of other technical teams as needed;
    • Participate in the management of maintenance contracts and managing infrastructure projects to budget;
    • Train R&D teams, Product Line Managers, and other staff as needs emerge;
    • Document all physical/logical configurations as required.


    • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical Degree;
    • 5+ years performing troubleshooting of large computer networks in either an IT or television broadcast environment;
    • 5+ years on the job experience with IP Network Switching products;
    • Cisco Certification (i.e. CCNA, CCIE, CCDE) or equivalent
    • Solid working knowledge and troubleshooting experience with TCP/IP, IP, VLAN, UDP, DNS, DHCP, CIFS, NFS, SMB, IPsec, and other routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, and HSRP)
    • Experience with various data routers/switches (Cisco, Arista, Brocades, HP, etc.), firewalls, and network management in medium to large corporate environments;
    • Experience with the following areas:
      • MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 video and audio compression;
      • Digital Video formats including NTSC, PAL, SDI, and HD-SDI;
      • Uncompressed IP video and audio data (i.e. 2022-6 and 2110) is an asset;
    • Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Windows Workstation, and Linux Installation, configuration, hardening, and administration;
    • Experience in a Public/Private Cloud deployment (i.e. Azure, AWS, or GCP) and Virtualization technologies (KVM, VMWare ESXi, Hyper-V, OpenStack and others) are expected;
    • Experience (Configuration and Administration) with Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Software Defined Networking (SDN), and Content Delivery Network (CDN) is an asset;
    • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills;
    • Excellent communication and written skills.
