    As a part of the product line management team, the primary responsibility of the product management solution architect is to define, architect, and manage multi-product solution/workflow designs to offer reference architectures to our sales, solution architecture, field services, system integrator partners, and customers.

    SCOPE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Creation and test of key reference solution architectures incorporating multiple Imagine products, as well as 3rd party products.
      • These architecture designs will be used by our sales and solution architecture teams as certified “solutions” supporting key customer and market functionality, such as IP-based infrastructure, UHD workflows, HDR workflows, or public cloud deployments for a playout broadcast chain.
    • Provide training and/or presentations to the internal teams regarding these reference architectures.
    • Publish and maintain a repository of these architectures for future use.
    • Provide support for the sales organization when engaged with complex customer solution architectures.
    • Work closely in an ongoing basis with sales, PLM, customers, and marketing to identify trends and upcoming technologies that will require new or modified reference architectures and prioritize those in kind. This may involve travel to customer sites, tradeshows, conferences, etc.
    • Ensure up to date software application versions, OS patches, firmware versions, etc. used in reference architectures.
      • Coordination with the various PLM and R&D team’s release schedule will be required to ensure up to date reference architectures.
      • This may also include coordination with partners or third-party vendors where those technologies are a part of the reference architectures.
    • While not operating in a supervisory position, the solution architect will be functioning in a leadership capacity, defining the priorities and scope of the system integration team in R&D.  A certain level of hands-on effort will also be expected, where appropriate.
    • Function as the product line management representative for RFI/RFP responses, particularly during technical reviews. They will be responsible for influencing the proposed solution design to RFI/RFPs, as well as coordinating the participation of various PLMs as necessary.

    Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

     

    Essential

    1. 5+ years in solution design involving broadcast or media architectures.
    2. Excellent understanding of broadcast operations and workflows
    3. Accurate and competent knowledge of a wide product range, with excellent technical knowledge to support customer and market needs.
    4. Ability to develop a partnership relationship at management, technical and operational levels within existing and prospective clients and partners.
    5. Capability to match Imagine technology to market needs, client and prospective clients’ objectives, analysing and identifying benefits and advantages.
    6. Excellent organizational skills to plan, track, and maintain solution architecture designs to ensure they remain current and up to date.

     

    Desirable

    1. Good working knowledge and understanding of Imagine product offerings
    2. Working knowledge of other relevant products in the market and existing client systems and workflows.
    3. Experience with Agile development methodologies
    4. Good working knowledge of Windows and MS Office software products
    5. Good working knowledge of Jira, Confluence
    6. Good presentation skills and experience

     

     

    EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Degree or diploma in broadcast engineering, computer engineering, or similar.
