    Perform specialized technical assistance with desktop support activities plus also provide network configuration and troubleshooting assistance. 

    Specific duties include but are not limited to

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Respond to customer telephone and electronic requests for services for support systems status, network connectivity, and a variety of hardware and software problems of all installed application hardware and software products supported by Information Services.
    • Analyse and resolve switch-level network related issues; work with network admin on routing and firewall related changes
    • Record inquiries, repair and service requests.
    • Resolve or direct requests to appropriate technical area or vendor while tracking status and following up to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Escalate to or consult with senior staff when solution is unclear.
    • Report problems with procedures and makes suggestions for improvements.
    • Required to update and maintain asset tracking and associated asset licenses in coordination with regional Team Lead/Manager.
    • Have a general knowledge of server technologies and enterprise storage technologies.
    • Support Active Directory environment including maintenance and troubleshooting.
    • Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality.
    • Commitment to maintaining the highest standard of customer service.


    Key Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer related discipline coupled with 2 – 5 year’s experience with desktop support and basic networking support. MCITP, MCP and Cisco CCNA certifications strongly preferred
    • Strong knowledge of network topology and network switch configurations and troubleshooting; general knowledge of network router and firewall management.
    • Experience with Dell KACE System’s Management
    • Experience with active directory administration
    • Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010 & Microsoft SharePoint 2010
    • Strong customer support orientation coupled with a bias for action and ability to work in a self-directed manner.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Keen attention to detail and strong troubleshooting capability
    • Experience with back-up & Recovery administration
    • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment - -prior experience supporting remote operations is preferred.
    • Requires occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds and/or light physical activity.
    • Possibility of 5-15% travel throughout EMEA region.
