    You will lead a team of professionals that provide structure and process to project delivery work for our customers.    The programme management team manages customer projects installing and upgrading our software products.  This role will lead the development, implementation and subsequent continuous improvement of all project delivery processes, including metrics, reporting and risk mitigation efforts.

    Specific duties include but are not limited to

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and coach a team of project and program managers to establish clear direction and strategy, capacity management, and process
    • Enhance project delivery methods to enable projects and programmes to be delivered efficiently, predictably and successfully from start to finish, this includes:
      • The review and gating of requests for new project work;
      • Project delivery processes including reporting, risk and quality management, documentation standards, etc;
      • Management of release and configuration for projects;
      • Review and management of closure;
      • change management processes and controls to ensure project scope is managed and the delivery of software to test and production environments is managed in a controlled fashion;
      • Project Configuration and release management
    • Promote project management and PMO practices in the organisation;
    • Support and educated internal stakeholders (PLM,Engineering) regarding project management processes.
    • Provide portfolio reporting across our projects; to manage project pipeline; to provide programme metrics;
    • Provide margin reporting based on project costs vs revenue received;
    • Implement a culture of continuous improvement based on lessons learned;
    • Promote the development of best practice communities across the organization;

    Qualifications

    Key Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience coupled with 5 + years of project management experience and 3+ year’s experience leading other professionals, preferably in a software and technical environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to onboard, coach, educate, and lead professionals.
    • Exceptional organization, planning and reporting capability - successful track record of working in a PMO, or similar function, for delivering change to business software
    • Experience of delivering change through the implementation of project processes
    • Extensive experience of working on IT business system projects
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skiils coupled with ability to develop relationships and effectively manage internal and external stakeholders.
    • Keen attention to detail and strong results-orientation.
    • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify problems, identify resolutions and drive to completion.
    • Extensive experience of working in a project environment
    • Extensive understanding of IT controls and process for software delivery projects
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite and MS project.
