    Specific duties include but are not limited to

    Functional Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical support to the team and reports to the Manger of Technical Operations.
    • Provide high level Oracle Database Administration, problem solving, resolution & support in production, QA, development & test environments.
    • Develop, drive and maintain Imagine Communications’ Database activities, and initiatives, owning responsibility for all aspects of data storage and integrity within Imagine Communications and its customer databases running in Windows environments, and also provide focused operational DBA technical support.
    • Provide Oracle Consulting services for development and customers, including performance tuning, Oracle 101 & 12c new features use and implementation.
    • Provide regular updates to clients on faults and other requests and respond to them in accordance with the terms of their contractual Service Level Agreements
    • Clearly escalate issues to the appropriate functional group and, if necessary, to leadership.
    • Use internal knowledge base to assist with troubleshooting and modify existing articles or write new knowledge articles as required. 
    • Independently follow up on backlog and ensure aged cases are updated, next steps have been identified and the client has been apprised of status.
    • Ability to work shift hours that span our client SLA requirements as well as afterhours emergency support as on call engineer.
    • Undertake training of internal and external clients in the use of Imagine Communications products
    • Such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require
    • To ensure that all working practices comply with Health and Safety legislation.


    Required Qualifications:

    Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience in most of the following environments:

    • Schema design, Schema Change management, stored procedures and Application-Software.
    • Oracle 10G, 11G and Oracle 12c on windows environment is a must.
    • Oracle 10G RAC on windows 2003 server or Linux servers * Cluster, ASM, and RMAN is a must.
    • PL/SQL expertise to help support Engineering & QA teams.
    • Experience with Oracle replication (basic replication & materialized view).
    • Data Guard, purging & Oracle Streams will be a plus.
    • Schema Comparison & Baseline (Embarcadero Schema Manager).
    • Running Oracle 11G & 12C RAC in VM Ware/ Oracle VM environment.
    • High-level expertise in Oracle RMAN backup using Backup Exec, Net backup & EM.
