Job Description:

The Account Manager, Hong Kong & South China will be accountable for achieving or exceeding business goals and objectives assigned for the territory by developing and driving aggressive business growth through various means of sales and marketing activities. In addition, the position will increase and maintain the quality, efficiency, and integrity of sales, delivery, and support functionalities in the territory by implementing realistic and appropriate strategies and tactics to increase profitability and productivity. This is a hands-on sales role involved in every aspect of the sales process.

 

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Devise and execute adequate business and operational strategies to meet or exceed quarterly and annual financial targets for the territory.
  • Identify and create new business opportunities in the territory and to drive the deals to successful wins to achieve or exceed their quarterly and annual financial targets.
  • Devise and execute adequate short term to midterm strategies for business growth and to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Gain strategic information about customers and the industry to help anticipate market trends and provide insight into the product management team to guide the development of our product portfolio to address customer needs.
  • Develop strategic account plans for key accounts and business partners in the territory.
  • Facilitate channel sales with resellers in the territory.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Service Manage to continuously review and monitor the quality and integrity of delivery and post sales procedures and practices to ensure of high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Set objectives, assign tasks, and review the progress and outcomes with staff members in weekly sales/operations meetings.
  • Maintain a realistic and up to date revenue forecast.
  • Generate monthly Management reports.
  • Control expenses to be in line with budgets.
  • Participate at APAC Management meetings with quality inputs and feedback.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Team on marketing and exhibition activities.
  • Collaborate with other functional blocks within and outside of the APAC organization to achieve maximum business results
  • Maintain a clear feedback route to Senior Management and Engineering on market needs and new emerging market opportunities. 
  • Understand the urgency of matter and prioritize resources and budget adequately to suit the business needs.
  • Mentor, coach, and identify training needs for key staff members.
  • Escalate or inform any important, critical, urgent, inadequate, or any other matter of material nature to your Line Manager in timely manner.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, and customer service environment in broadcasting, media, and/or telecommunication industry
  • Strong network in Hong Kong and/or South China.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain complex techniques to customers or staff.
  • Process driven and able to understand and implement often complex business processes

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Proven track record of identifying and qualifying projects, creating and executing account plans, negotiating and closing sales in long and complex sales cycles.
  • Self motivated, result and revenue driven
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability
  • Ability to work effectively under time pressure
  • Capability to work in a multi-cultural / multi-national environment.
  • Ability to conduct practical ‘’hands on’’ customer proof-of-concepts demonstrations and training.
  • Ability to be a technical lead, solution architect, and consultant in customer projects.
  • Assist with trade show preparation and set up.
