Specific duties include but are not limited to

SUMMARY:                           

NPI Project Lead position responsible for the planning, tracking and coordination of day to day project activities with focus in COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) and Cloud-Based products.   The role act as a liaison between Engineering and Operations including Contract Manufacturers, cross functional team such as Engineering, Product Marketing, Production, Supply Chain, Order Management and etc... This role has ownership of the product, includes hardware, software and combination of both through its product life cycle.

                               

REQUIREMENTS:                  

  • Establish and maintain detailed Operation plan, schedule and budget.
  • Manage hardware prototype build schedule with contract manufacturer.
  • Manage software releases from development to launch.
  • Manage First Article (Qualification) Process with contract manufacturer and system integrator.
  • Manage NPI resources and deliverables throughout product development cycle.
  • Establish manufacturing and release process for new products in development and for sustaining support.
  • Manage communication between vendors, Engineering team and Operation team for any issue during the entire product lifecycle.
  • Maintain prototype and/or production vendor relationship
  • All other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:                

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience of Project Management, both software and hardware
  • PMP Certified (or in process of being) or equivalent Project management qualifications/experience
  • Experience in COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) Program Management Process                               
  • ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS:                            
  •  
  • Detailed knowledge within ERP systems, Oracle and Agile experience desired
  • Knowledge/experience with development and product lifecycles
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc)
  • Motivated, self-starter, able to work under little supervision
  • Take ownership and accountability.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, methodical in a multi-tasked environment
  • Very detail-oriented and quality-conscious
  • Good task coordination, planning and scheduling skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Ability to drive process improvements and work with cross functional team to resolve problems
