Specific duties include but are not limited to

JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure high quality project management services are provided to clients of Imagine Communications, working across all product lines.

 

  • Lead and deliver projects that meet client requirements, on time and in budget
  • Develop and enhance customer relationships
  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting on completion timescales and financial margins for assigned projects
  • Support Bid Management in the preparation of quotations and pre-sales efforts

SCOPE:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and execution of projects across all Imagine Communication product lines - AMS, Playout and Networking.  The role includes the management of Change Control process, writing change orders, scheduling resources, and determining of technical impact of projects.

 

The Project Manager will be expected to liaise with senior technical engineers and architects to ensure delivery of design packages/specifications. Interacting on a regular basis with customers to provide status on customer activities to ensure successful completion of Change Orders, as well as manage contractors and equipment vendors.

 

The position is located in Thames Ditton, UK and will require international travel for the execution of this role.

Qualifications

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction with Project Management Services provided by Imagine Communications.
  2. Ensure all Projects are delivered within time and budget conditions. Service Level Agreements are met and client expectations are understood and exceeded.
  3. Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with internal/external customers, ensuring objectives and customer satisfaction are achieved.
  4. Project Success - Successfully meet targeted project timeline (Target vs. Actual) and successfully meet project objectives along with successful project CSAT reports.
  5. Project Profitability - Successfully achieve project margin within an agreed variance from the expected project margin at launch or within revised margin as agreed with the project board
  6. Project Reporting : - Provide weekly updates on all projects in the SalesForce-Project Management Module - project health, revenue recognition date/comments, weekly status report, tasks, issues and risks. - Maintain all project documentation up to date, using the agreed template folder structure for projects - Timely account and submission of travel expenses on a weekly basis with correct assignment of time and expenses to the corresponding projects - Ensure correct hours are allocated to the projects managed and margins are closely monitored.
  7. Accurate forecasting of project completion and project margins supported by the Project Financial Analyst.
  8. Lifecycle management of the project delivery from contract signature through design, build, acceptance and hand-over to support phases.
  9. Define the objectives, scope, deliverables and timeframes for a project.
  10. Determine the most suitable resources for delivery together with the resource manager, build the project team from internal and external (contract) resources and manage assigned resources.
  11. Ensuring that the Change Management Process is followed to manage scope changes, document all changes and agree additional paid efforts where applicable.
  12. Identify and manage project risks and conflicts.
  13. Anticipate critical situations, facilitate solutions to conflicts and identify process improvement opportunities with the team, functional areas and communicate recommendations.
  14. Interface with Engineering and Product Line Management to ensure effective turnaround of customer issues. 
  15. Such other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required.

PERSON PROFILE

The successful candidate must be a diligent, dedicated and committed individual who thrives in a challenging, dynamic and occasionally volatile environment. They must be able to communicate effectively with clients, staff and senior management and be able to manage multiple conflicting objectives effectively.

 

EXPERIENCE / ACHIEVEMENTS

Essential

  1. Significant commercial experience in project management of complex software projects in either Broadcast, IT or related industries.
  2. Proven track record in one or more of the following – strategy, business process, technology, change management, project deliveryDesirable
  3. Knowledge of product architecture and systems environment of the Advertising Media Systems product lines
  4. Experience of leading/motivating teams

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE

  1. Excellent writing, communications, and interpersonal skills.
  2. Strong people management skills, particular attention to teamwork and collaboration
  3. Working knowledge in media/broadcast industry
  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Ability to interact with all levels internally and externally.

 

Desirable

  1. Foreign Language Skills
  2. Excellent Technical knowledge of systems and product development lifecycle

EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s or advanced degree in related field
  2. Project Management qualification through proven track record and recognisable qualification; Prince2, PMI PMP or equivalent
  3. ITIL Foundation Level
